Sim Israeloff, President

Sim is an attorney with the Dallas law firm of Cowles & Thompson where his practice is devoted to complex commercial and business litigation. He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law. Sim represents U.S. and foreign businesses and individuals in litigation involving business transactions, real estate, construction, securities, professional liability, intellectual property and class actions. He has more than 35 years of experience and is the head of the firm’s commercial/business litigation practice group.
Sim was Mayor of Fairview from 2003 to 2013. In 2014 he was appointed to the EDC/CDC board and in 2016 was asked to serve as chair of the Planning & Zoning Commission. Sim is also a member of the board of directors of the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary.


Jeff Rutherford, Vice President

Mr. Rutherford began his career as a software and systems designer, doing early research and development in networking, computer recognition and digital speech. He has been involved as a founder for several successful start-up companies and is currently the Vice President of Product and Technology at MRG Medical, a provider of remote patient monitoring and telemedicine solutions for healthcare organizations.
A resident of Collin County for 35 years, Mr. Rutherford and his wife Patricia have lived in Fairview since 2003. He has served as Treasurer and Board member of the Oakwood Estates HOA. He is an avid landscape photographer and enjoys observing Fairview’s local wildlife. Mr. Rutherford holds a degree in Engineering from Texas Tech University and a MBA from the SMU Cox School of Business.


Don Braun, Secretary

Donald Braun is President of the Dallas, Texas based HALL Group. Mr. Braun oversees and directs the implementation of the company’s investment strategies and management of the company’s core business operations. Mr. Braun has nearly 40 years’ experience in all aspects of commercial real estate and real estate finance. He has extensive capital market experience having worked on and arranged a wide variety of debt and equity facilities involving several billion dollars of capital, and the sale and acquisition of numerous companies and assets.
Mr. Braun serves, and has served, on the board of directors of numerous companies across a broad scope of industries including real estate, the wine business, software and technology, aviation, and oil and gas. He has also served as an executive board member of various nonprofit organizations including The Real Estate Council, the North Texas Center for Technology, the Collin County Business Alliance, the Business Council for the Arts, and the Fairview Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Braun earned a BA in economics from Albion College, a graduate degree from Wayne State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Braun holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Albion College and has a certified public accountant designation (CPA).


Robert (Bob) Herrema, Member

Bob, a U.S. Army Veteran, is a retired apparel company executive. He has held Senior Positions with apparel companies in four states (Illinois, Colorado, Alabama and Texas). Most notable were the Licensed Apparel Partnerships of these companies with All Professional Sport Teams and many well recognized athletes. In partial retirement Bob organized many apparel driven marketing events for the nation’s premier sports playoffs and championships such as The NFL Super Bowl, MLB World Series, NBA Championship, NHL Stanley Cup, etc.
In 2008 Bob became part of a new joint sustainability initiative between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Local Water Authorities and America’s Big Box Retailers. The new initiative, (Watersense Sustainable Water Conservation) was ground breaking in using green technology and incentives to save water. Bob was a pioneering spokesperson and marketing leader with Watersense Conservation Solutions in both the United States and China.
Bob and his wife Ginney live in the Villas In The Park Community. He has served on the VITP HOA Transition Committee.

Nancy Lewis, Member

Nancy began her career in education and transitioned to sales and marketing. She is the former Vice President for Major/National Accounts of American Community Newspapers (ACN). Prior to joining ACN, Nancy was the major/national sales manager for the El Paso Times and the Texas New Mexico Partnership. In addition to working for Media News Group, she also worked for Gannett, Freedom Communications, Thomson Newspapers, Cox Newspapers and the Pennysaver. 

Nancy is a graduate of Southern Methodist University. A dedicated community volunteer, Nancy can be found volunteering at Heritage Ranch, spending time with her four grandchildren, or with family and friends.


Carlo Strippoli, Member

Carlo Strippoli was a founding member of Texas Advanced Optoelectronic Solutions. There he served as the VP of Sales and Marketing, before retiring. With a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Carlo worked for Texas Instruments for 25 years. He is still involved in the Semiconductor industry serving on the boards of two privately held companies. 
Carlo and his wife Carole live in Thompson Springs where Carlo is an active member of the HOA’s Architectural Control Committee. They have four married sons and 7 grandchildren and an Anatolian Shepherd named Pi.
